Sourdough Drop Biscuits Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Heat butter.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients except butter and stir together in mixing bowl.
  4. With floured hands, healthy pinch off walnut-size balls of dough and place in 9-10 inch skillet.
  5. Let rise in hot place for 15 min.
  6. Bake 25-30 min.
  7. Brush with melted butter.
  8. Watch to make sure they do not burn.
  9. Variation: Add in minced apples, mashed cooked sweet potatoes, raisins or possibly chopped onion to the dough.
  10. Makes 1 1/2-2 dozen.
