Tamale Pie
- 1 small can olives, sliced
- 1 lb. ground turkey or beef
- 1 onion
- 1 green onion
- 1 clove garlic
- seasoned salt to taste
- 1 can chili beans (chili con carne)
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1/2 green hot pepper
- favorite cornbread recipe minus half liquid
- cheese to taste
- Oil casserole dish; spread half cornbread batter on bottom of dish.
- Brown meat with all ingredients except cheese, beans, corn and olives.
- Drain meat.
- Add beans and corn and mix.
- Spread filling on bottom of dish; add cheese and olives.
- Add remaining cornbread batter.
- Sprinkle cheese and olives.
- Bake at 350u0b0 until bread is brown.
- Let warm and slice.
- Serve with green salad and wine.
