Basic Bavarian

  1. Stir boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in cold water.
  3. Refrigerate 1 hour 15 minutes or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
  4. Gently stir in whipped topping.
  5. Pour into 4-cup mold or individual molds sprayed with cooking spray.
  6. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
  7. Unmold dessert onto serving plate.
  8. Garnish with 1/4 cup each additional whipped topping and fresh raspberries, if desired.
  9. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
