Broiled Shrimp Vermouth
- 12 wooden skewers
- 1/2 c. dry vermouth
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. freshly grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic
- 36 large shrimp
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- Chopped chives
- Soak skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine vermouth, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
- Add shrimp and toss to coat.
- Cover and marinate, 20 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat broiler with rack 5 to 6 inches away from heat.
- Drain shrimp and skewers; discard marinade.
- Thread shrimp on skewers and brush with oil, dividing evenly.
- Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Broil, until cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Serve sprinkled with chives.
