Baked Caramel Corn

  1. Make popcorn and put in a large roasting pan.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Melt margarine in pan.
  4. Stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt.
  5. Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
  6. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
  9. Pour over corn mixing well.
  10. Bake at 250 F for 1 hour.
  11. Stir every 15 minutes.Remove from oven.
  12. Cool, break apart and store in tightly covered containers.
