Clay Pot Mezetti
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 c. celery, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- seasoning to taste
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
- 1 (10 oz.) can mushroom soup
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
- 1 c. water
- 3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- Soak clay cooking pot and lid in warm water for 15 minutes. Place ground beef, green pepper, onion, celery and garlic in pot. Cover with water-soaked lid.
- Cook on High in microwave for 6 minutes.
- Drain off excess liquid.
- Sprinkle noodles on meat mixture.
- Stir together in a bowl the chili powder, paprika, salt, tomato soup, mushroom soup, mushrooms and water.
- Pour mixture over meat and noodles.
- Re-cover and microwave on High for 10 minutes, then on 50% power for 15 to 18 minutes or until noodles are cooked.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and cover.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
