Shrimp To Die For(Literally)
- 1 lb. shrimp
- garlic
- thyme, marjoram, oregano, basil, cilantro and crushed red pepper (a pinch of each)
- 1 can beer
- butter
- French bread
- extra virgin olive oil (of course)
- Steam shrimp until almost cooked (will turn light orange).
- In a pan saute, with extra virgin olive oil, all chopped garlic to taste (don't worry if it browns).
- Add 4 tablespoons of shrimp broth, salt and spices.
- Reduce.
- Add shrimp to pan.
- Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons of broth and 1/2 glass of beer.
- Reduce.
- Add, right before serving, more broth and beer to taste.
- Let bubble.
- Throw in 2 more tablespoons of butter.
- Serve over 3 or 4 medallions of hot French bread.
- Laugh all the way to the next cardiovascular surgeon.
