Spaghetti Casserole

  1. Melt 1/2 the amount of bacon drippings in a skillet and brown ground beef in it.
  2. Remove to a bowl.
  3. Add remaining bacon drippings and saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic until onion is slightly browned.
  4. Add bay leaf, thyme, seasonings, tomato sauce and browned meat.
  5. Simmer slowly for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  6. A little water may be added if sauce is too thick.
  7. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
