Texas Oven Barbecue
- 1/2 c. brewed coffee
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. lemon juice from concentrate
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- ??? tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 ??? hot pepper sauce
- ??? tsp. ground cinnamon
- 4 lb. brisket, fat trimmed
- In small saucepan, combine coffee, catsup, onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire, lemon juice and spices.
- Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Place brisket in glass baking dish and pour about 1/2 the sauce over meat.
- Cover pan with foil and bake at 325u0b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Cooked brisket may be served warm or cold with remaining sauce.
