Toffee-Almond Brownies
- 4 oz. BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted
- 4 chocolate-covered toffee bars (1.4 oz. each), chopped
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.
- or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted.
- Stir in sugar.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add flour; mix well.
- Pour half the batter into 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with nuts and toffee.
- Cover with remaining batter, spreading with spatula if necessary to form even layer.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- (Do not overbake.)
- Cool completely.
