Cheese Danish

  1. Combine cheese, egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla in bowl. Mix with electric mixer on high until creamy, about 3 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Unroll 1 package dough, evening in 13 x 9-inch pan, pressing down to close perforations.
  3. Spread cheese mixture evenly on dough.
  4. Unroll other package dough evenly over filling.
  5. Whip egg whites with fork in small bowl until frothy; spread evenly atop dough.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining 3/4 cup sugar, cinnamon for color and nuts.
  7. Bake at 325u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool and set; then slice into bars.
  9. Makes 16 to 24 bars.
