Strawberry Rhubard Iced Tea Recipe NorthernRedwood

  1. Place rhubarb, strawberries, and 5 cups of water in a large sauce pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Stir at your leisure, if youre into that sort of thing.
  4. Add tea bags and steep for about 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the whole thing!
  6. Use your spoon to squish all the liquid out of the mash.
  7. Be careful!
  8. That stuff is hot!
  9. Dilute with water and add sugar to taste.
  10. I doubled the amount of liquid and added about 1 cup of sugar.
  11. If you like a stronger taste, add less water.
  12. Sweeter?
  13. Add more sugar.
  14. You get the picture.
  15. Chill in the fridge until cold.
  16. Serve over ice and enjoy!
  17. Over 21 addition: Add a shot of good whiskey to a glass of this to amp it up a bit., This can also be done with just rhubarb if you need to omit the strawberries.
