Hearty Cabbage and Vegetable Soup
- 200 grams Cabbage
- 1/2 Carrot
- 2 Potatoes
- 6 Wiener sausages
- 700 ml Water
- 2 Consomme soup stock cubes
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- Cut the potatoes, carrot, and wiener sausages into bite-sized pieces.
- Roughly chop the cabbage.
- (I shredded it so that it's easy to eat for my kids this time.)
- Stir-fry the wiener sausages in a pot.
- When the oil renders from the sausages, add carrot and continue stir-frying.
- Pour in water.
- When it starts to boil, skim off the scum, and add the cabbage and consomme.
- Add potatoes, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cover with a lid, and simmer until the potatoes become soft.
- Finally, taste the soup.
- If it's too thin, add a little bit of salt and pepper, and it's done.
