Double Chocolate Brownies
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 medium jar Marshmallow Creme
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In small saucepan combine butter, sugar and water; bring just to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add 1 cup chocolate morsels and vanilla extract.
- Stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth.
- Transfer to large bowl.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually blend in flour mixture.
- Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate morsels and 1/2 cup nuts.
- Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- While hot, spread top with 1 jar Marshmallow Creme; while warm, frost with chocolate icing.
- Cool completely. Cut into 2 1/4-inch squares.
- Makes 16.
