Betty Crocker-inspired Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter Or Margarine, Softened
- 1 cup Shortening, Softened
- 3 whole Eggs
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 4- 1/2 cups Flour
- 1- 1/2 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a large bowl cream the sugars, butter, and shortening.
- Add the eggs and beat well.
- Mix in the soda, salt, and vanilla; then add flour and mix well.
- Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Do not overbake.
- Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
