Hush puppies the way they used to be made

• 2 cup finely ground cornmeal
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 large onion diced
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup milk whole
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan
2. Mix all the other ingredients it has to be thick when oil is hot get a spoonful of hushpuppie mix and drop into hot oil fry till done move to paper towels to absorb excess oil
