Pickled Shrimp/60 Recipe

  1. Tie the pickling spices in a cheesecloth bag.
  2. Heat the 3 c. water to boiling.
  3. Add in shrimp, pickling spices, and onion.
  4. Return to boiling.
  5. Cover and simmer 1 to 3 min or possibly till shrimp turn pink.
  6. Drain.
  7. IN plastic bag set in a deep bowl place the shrimp, onion and spice bag.
  8. Combine the vinegar, 1/2 c. water, capers with liquid, sugar, celery seed, salt, dry mustard, garlic and warm pepper sauce; mix well.
  9. Pour mix over shrimp in bag.
  10. Close bag.
  11. Marinate shrimp in refrigerator at least 24 hrs, turning bag occasionally.
  12. Stir in snipped parsley before serving.
  13. Makes 8 appetizer servings.
