Braised Red Cabbage
- 1/2 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Fig Balsamic Dressing, divided
- 1 small red onion, cut lengthwise in half, then sliced crosswise
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 cups shredded red cabbage
- 1-1/2 cups 25%-less-sodium chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Heat 1/4 cup dressing in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic; cook 8 min.
- or until onions are lightly browned, stirring frequently.
- Add cabbage; cook and stir 4 min.
- or just until cabbage is wilted.
- Stir in broth; cover.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min.
- Add remaining dressing; stir.
- Simmer, covered, 15 min.
- or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
