Triple b Beans
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 12 cups diced onions
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 12 lb bacon
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 13 cup Bourbon (little for the cook too)
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can great northern beans
- 12 cup diced onion
- 12 teaspoon liquid smoke
- salt and pepper
- Remove bacon from drippings with a slotted spoon and place bacon on a paper towel lined plate.
- Reserve drippings in pan.
- In reserved drippings cook onion, garlic, and ground beef until browned.
- Mix brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, bourbon and chili powder well, and then add to meat mixture.
- Drain beans and add to pot.
- Let mixture simmer 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Add syrup,hot sauce, onion and liquid smoke then simmer for 15-20 minutes stirring often.
- The longer this is allowed to simmer, the better.
- It's always better the second day.
