Wilton's butter cream Icing

  1. cream the butter and shorting together in an electric mixer
  2. add in the vanilla and mix
  3. slowly add in the icing sugar
  4. add the 2 tablespoons of milk
  5. mix until cream is fluffy.
  6. the butter cream will have a thick consistency.
  7. to make the icing more thin, add 2 more tablespoons of milk
  8. I added a tablespoon of meringue powder for more stability.
  9. and I used rum extract which tasted great
