Wilton's butter cream Icing
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco shorting
- 2 tsp clear vanilla extract
- 4 cup icing sugar
- 2 tbsp milk or water
- cream the butter and shorting together in an electric mixer
- add in the vanilla and mix
- slowly add in the icing sugar
- add the 2 tablespoons of milk
- mix until cream is fluffy.
- the butter cream will have a thick consistency.
- to make the icing more thin, add 2 more tablespoons of milk
- I added a tablespoon of meringue powder for more stability.
- and I used rum extract which tasted great
butter, shorting, vanilla extract, icing sugar, milk
