Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Crisps Recipe
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 4 c. Kix cereal
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix sugars, peanut butter, butter, shortening, egg, baking soda and baking pwdr in 4 qt bowl thoroughly.
- Stir in cereal and chocolate chips.
- Shape dough slightly by rounded tablespoonfuls; place about 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake till golden brown, 10 to 12 min.
- Cold 5 min before removing from cookie sheet.
- About 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
- BUTTERSCOTCH-PEANUT BUTTER CRISPS: Substitute 1 (6 ounce.)
- package butterscotch chips for the semi sweet chocolate chips.
