My Mother'S Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. onion
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Italian seasoning
- 1/2 c. celery
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 cans tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 head lettuce, shredded
- 1 box frozen green peas
- 3 small onions, sliced thinly
- 1/2 c. diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1 c. cauliflower
- 8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
- 8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
- Cover with 1 pint Hellmann's mayonnaise (no salad dressing) and let sit in refrigerator, covered with Saran Wrap, 24 hours. Stir just before serving.
