Sandy'S Shrimp Creole

  1. Peel, devein and wash shrimp.
  2. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and green pepper.
  4. Saute until soft; stir in garlic.
  5. Remove from heat; blend in flour until smooth. Add tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Gradually add water, stirring to blend.
  7. Add shrimp and all remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 40 minutes.
  8. Serve over hot, cooked rice.
