Texas Chili'N Pasta

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions, drain.
  2. Heat oil over medium hig h heat in a large, heavy pan.
  3. Add meat and garlic and brown lightly.
  4. Add seas onings and stir to coat meat.
  5. Add tomatoes and water.
  6. Bring to a boil, then r educe heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add cold wate r to cornmeal and stir to make paste.
  8. Stir into hot beef mixture.
  9. Continue to cook and stir for 20 to 30 minutes uncovered until desired consistency.
  10. Serve ov er hot pasta.
