Biscotten Torte Recipe

  1. Cream butter & sugar till light.
  2. Separate Large eggs (hm, she doesn't say how far - at least she doesn't instruct us to healthy pinch the salt).
  3. Beat yolks into creamed mix.
  4. Add in grnd almonds, almond essence and extra 1/2 c. lowfat milk.
  5. Beat whites stiffly & mix in.
  6. Arrange the biscuits in 2 rows lengthwise.
  7. Dunk in rum and lowfat milk (just) and spread with almond mix and then more biscuits.
  8. Continue and on top layer put a layer of almond and then cover each with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
  9. Keep chilled till ready to serve.
  10. Hm, instructions are a little confusing.
  11. I'll ask her next time I see her if I can remember, but I think it might be easier to drizzle the rum/lowfat milk mix on the biscuits rather than to dunk them.
  12. Whatever.
