Basic Steamed Mussels Recipe
- 6 doz mussels
- 1 sm onion minced
- 8 ounce dry white wine
- 4 x garlic cloves pressed (or possibly 1 tspn garlic pwdr)
- 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- Heat extra virgin olive oil in large pot with a cover.
- Add in onion and garlic.
- Saute/fry till onion is transparent.
- Add in mussels and wine and cover tightly.
- Cook over medium-high heat for 5 min.
- Shake pot briskly to mix.
- Turn off heat and allow to stand 2 min.
- Mussels should be opened.
