Banana Blaze
- Pan spray
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 bananas, split lengthwise and halved
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 tablespoon nutmeg, ground
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup Cognac
- 4 scoops ice cream
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup coconut
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- In a hot saute pan, spray with pan spray and add butter to pan.
- Sear bananas on each side.
- Add maple syrup and reduce by half.
- Add the raisins, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Add the Cognac and ignite and burn off the alcohol.
- Spoon blazed bananas into each serving bowl.
- Place a scoop of ice cream on each pile of bananas.
- Sprinkle pecans and coconut over each scoop of ice cream.
- Spoon remaining sauce on top over each serving.
- Place a spoonful of whipped cream on the top of everything and enjoy!
- Propane Gas Torch Warning Propane gas torches are highly flammable and should be kept away from heat or flame, and should not be exposed to prolonged sunlight.
- Propane gas torches should only be used in well-ventilated areas.
- When lighting a propane gas torch, place the torch on a flat, steady surface, facing away from you.
- Light the match or lighter and then open the gas valve.
- Light the gas jet, and blow out the match.
- Always turn off the burner valve to "finger tight" when finished using the torch.
- Children should never use a propane gas torch without adult supervision.
