Pecan Cheese Bites
- 2 sticks Butter, Softened
- 2 cups Grated Extra Sharp Cheese, Room Temperature
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Salt, Or To Taste
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 2 cups Flour
- 72 pieces Pecan Halves
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Once butter and cheese are at room temperature, mix together with salt and cayenne pepper.
- Add flour and work into a large, smooth ball.
- Roll into small balls about one inch in diameter.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Press a pecan half onto each ball to flatten.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Yields 6 dozen.
