Adelaide Sandwiches Recipe
- 8 ounce Chicken and ham, cooked, diced or possibly
- 8 ounce Tongue and chicken, cooked, diced
- 2 x Heaped tbsps butter
- 1 x Heaped tbsp grated Parmesan
- 4 slc Crustless bread
- 4 Tbsp. Veg. oil
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 x Heaped tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Curry paste
- 1/2 pt Hot lowfat milk
- Heat 1 tbsp butter for the sauce; stir in flour.
- Add in hot lowfat milk, stirring constantly.
- Season to taste.
- Add in curry paste, minced chicken, ham.
- Heat 1 tbsp butter and oil; fry bread slices on one side only.
- Put chicken mix between two sets of slices; fried sides on the outside.
- Rub remaining 1 tbsp butter with cheese, spread over sandwiches.
- Brown under the grill.
- leftover meats.
- Anchovies can be substituted for the chicken.
