Carrot Celery Deluxe
- 1 lb carrot
- 3 stalks celery
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 12 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
- 1 pinch marjoram or 1 pinch thyme
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 pinch pepper
- topping mix
- 14 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- Cut vegetables into 2 inch strips.
- Cook 15 min in chicken broth.
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Take off heat and add flour.
- Whisk in milk.
- Return to heat and add vegetables and broth.
- Simmer 20 minutes, skimming off any scum.
- Add spices and 2 tsp parmesan cheese.
- Top with topping.
- Bake 350 for 1/2 hour.
