Oatmeal Cookies

  1. In mixer bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and brown sugar.
  2. Blend in eggs, rum and vanilla; beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 2 minutes.
  3. (Mixture will be thin.) Thoroughly stir together the whole wheat flour, dry milk powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add to creamed mixture, blending well. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate pieces, sunflower seeds and chopped peanuts.
  5. Drop from teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 375u0b0 until done, 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
