Apple Brunch Cake
- 1 package cake mix, golden butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 stick butter
- 23 cup water
- 4 each apples pared, sliced
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons cinnamon ground
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C).
- Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan.
- Combine dry cake mix; eggs, butter and water in large mixer bowl.
- Mix cake as directed on package.
- Turn 23 of the batter into pan.
- Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon.
- Spoon over batter in pan.
- Spread remaining batter over apples.
- Bake at 375F (190C).
- for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan on rack for 25 mins.
- Remove from pan; cool completely on rack.
- Sprinkle cooled cake with confectioners' sugar.
