Grill Your Sauces on a Stick-Creamy Green Chile Avocado Sauce
- 1 firm avocado, halved pitted, skin on for grilling
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 2 tomatillos, husked cored and halved
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 jalapeno, stemmed seeded and quartered
- 1 poblano chile, stemmed, seeded and quartered
- 14 cup cilantro leaf
- 14 cup water
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Brush the "kebabs" with oil and grill over high heat, turning occasionally, until the veggies are charred in spots.
- About 15 minutes.
- Remove from skewers and transfer to a blender.
- Add the three extra ingredients.
- Puree until smooth, season with salt.
