Tami's Szechuan Shrimp
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine or sherry wine
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 each red & yellow pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice
- In a bowl add all ingredients except the shrimp, green onions Chinese 5 spice, set sauce a side.
- Preheat wok or large saute pan, add sesame oil, heat oil for a moment then add peppers & mushrooms, stir constantly add shrimp, chinese 5 spice and green onions stir constantly about 5-10 minutes til shrimp are cooked add sauce, toss the shrimp to coat evenly.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
