Meat And Potato Pie With Hash Browns Recipe
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 c. shredded frzn hash browns
- 1 c. grated Swiss or possibly cheddar cheese
- 3/4 c. diced ham, sausage or possibly minced chicken
- Minced parsley
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 c. evaporated or possibly whole lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Mix together vegetable oil and potatoes in 9 inch pie plate.
- Press into pie crust shape.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 15 min or possibly till crust begins to brown.
- Remove from oven.
- Layer cheese, meat and onion; set aside.
- Combine lowfat milk, Large eggs and seasoning in bowl; beat all till blended.
- Pour egg mix over layered ingredients.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Return to oven (same temperature); bake for 30 min or possibly till lightly browned.
- Allow to cold 5 min before cutting into wedges.
