A Certain Japanese Restaurant's Bestseller Squid Popo Bake (Squid Ark)
- 2 Squid
- 1 Green pepper
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tsp Sake
- 1/2 piece of ginger Juice from grated ginger
- 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Cut the green peppers into 4-5mm rings.
- Combine and mix together the sauce ingredients.
- Also mix together the mayonnaise ingredients.
- Remove the legs, guts, and bones from the squid, and wash out the insides well.
- Insert shallow cuts along the skin, 1cm apart.
- Cut the tentacles into bite-sized pieces.
- Bring some water to a boil.
- Add the tentacles first, then the squid itself, and boil.
- Just enough for it to expand a bit.
- Cut the squid after thoroughly draining, and place in a heat-resistant container.
- Pour the mayonnaise over the squid, arrange the green peppers on top, and add the sauce.
- Broil in a toaster oven until the mayonnaise starts to brown, then it's complete.
