Country Grits And Sausage Casserole

  1. Brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan; stir in grits.
  3. Return to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat; add cheese and next 3 ingredients, stirring until cheese melts.
  5. Stir in sausage and eggs.
  6. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish and sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until golden brown and thoroughly heated.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
