My Hot Chilli Chicken
- 1 tbsp Dark Soya Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 tsp peeled fresh Ginger grated
- 2 clove Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Malt Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 tsp Demarara Sugar
- 2 tbsp Veg oil or groundnut oil
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2 Large Chicken Breasts, cut into cubes
- 2 Green Chillies , cut length ways
- 1/4 tsp White Pepper
- 4 Spring Onions chopped.
- Ingredients you need
- At least 45-50 minutes ahead, mix together Soya sauce, Chilli Powder, Salt, Cornflour, Ginger, Vinegar, Tomato puree and Sugar.
- Heat 1 tabls of the oil in a heavy based pan.
- Fry the Onions over a med heat for 5 minutes until soft and Translucent.
- Remove from heat and mix the fried onions with the Soya Sauce Paste.
- Add the Chicken and stir it all until its coated.
- Cover and leave in fridge to marinate.
- Leave for 30 minutes
- Heat the pan again with remaining oil.
- Add the green chillies and white pepper and fry over a low heat for a minute.
- Then add the Marinated Chicken pieces with the marinade, and fry for 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked..
- Garnish with Spring onion and serve it hot.
