Heart Healthy Apple Pancakes

  1. In a bowl, blend the flour, salt and cinnamon together.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg.
  3. Add honey, milk and applesauce.
  4. Add to dry ingredients and mix until incorporated.
  5. Fold in apples and walnuts (optional).
  6. Pour by 1/2-cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle, then spread into large circles.
  7. Flip pancakes when bubbles form.
  8. Cook until golden brown and apples are tender.
  9. Top with remaining applesauce and a sprinkle of confectioners sugar.
