Date Filled Ice Box Cookies Recipe

• 2 c. brown sugar
• 1 c. Crisco
• 2 Large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 c. flour
• 1/2 teaspoon soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

1. Cream together sugar and Crisco.
2. Add in Large eggs and beat.
3. Sift flour, soda and salt.
4. Combine all ingredients.
5. Mold into rolls and chill.
6. Slice, put a tsp.
7. of filling and cover with second slice.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
