Beef Casserole
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. thin noodles
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 cartons sour cream (add a little milk)
- 6 finely chopped spring onions and tops
- grated sharp cheese (for top)
- Brown chuck in margarine; add salt, pepper, sugar and tomato sauce.
- Cook on low heat at least 30 minutes.
- Cook noodles and drain well.
- Mix together cream cheese, sour cream and onions. Layer noodles, meat mixture and cream cheese-onion mixture. Repeat.
- Sprinkle top with grated sharp cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for about 30 to 45 minutes, keeping covered until heated thoroughly. Remove lid and cook 10 minutes more.
- Serves 8 to 10.
