Caramel Candy Bars Recipe
- 1 pkt Vanilla caramels 14 ounce
- 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 c. Flour
- 2 c. Oats Quick or possibly old-fashioned
- 1 1/2 c. Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 x Egg
- 1 c. Margarine or possibly butter softend
- 6 ounce Semisweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
- 1 c. Walnuts minced Or possibly dry roasted peanuts
- Turn oven to 350 degrees.
- Heat carmels and lowfat milk heat, stirring frequently, till smooth; remove from heat and reserve.
- Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
- Stir in egg and margarine with fork till mix is crumbly.
- Press half of the fold in ungreased 13 x 9" pan.
- Bake 10 min.
- Sprinkle with chips and walnuts.
- Drizzle with caramel mix.
- Sprinkle remaining crumbly mix over top.
- Bake 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden.
- Cold 30 min.
- Loosen edges from sides of pan.
- Cold completely.
- Cut into 48 bars.
