Hot and Spicy Turkey Chili
- 2 tbsp. salad oil
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 sm. onion, diced
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 can (1 lb.) tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz.) red kidney beans
- 2 cups diced cooked turkey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/4 lb. shredded Jack cheese
- In 12-inch skillet, in hot oil, cook green pepper and onions until tender.
- Stir in chili powder.
- Cook 1 minute.
- Stir in tomatoes with their liquid, beans with their liquid, turkey, water, sugar, salt and red peppers.
- Heat to boiling over high heat.
- Then cover and simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
- Serve topped with shredded cheese.
