Juicy Fried Chicken - Freeze This For Your Bento
- 2 Chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Frying oil
- 2 tbsp *Soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp *Honey
- 1 tsp *Sesame oil
- 1 *Grated garlic
- 1 tsp *Squeezed ginger juice (or grated ginger)
- 1 *Shichimi spice
- 1/2 Egg
- 8 tbsp Katakuriko
- Cut the chicken into your desired sizes and put it in a bowl.
- Add in the sake, sugar and salt in and rub it in well.
- Next, add in the * seasoning ingredients for the coating and rub it in well.
- If you have time, then try to let it sit for a bit to really lock in the flavor.
- Next, add in the beaten egg and katakuriko.
- Mix with your hands until it's no longer lumpy.
- Depending on the size of the egg, adjust the amount of katakuriko that you use.
- Adjust until the coating reaches your desired thickness and smoothness.
- Next, take out the pieces of chicken one by one and deep fry in oil on medium heat.
- (If you cook it on high, the coating burns easily).
- Once they have cooled, put them in a freezer bag and then put them in the freezer.
- If you're going to use it in a bento, heat it up in the microwave.
