Seafood Chowder

  1. Saute onion in butter for 3 minutes; add stock, celery, carrots,
  2. salt,
  3. pepper, bay leaf and thyme.
  4. Simmer gently 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Add fish;
  6. simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Remove bay leaf. Make smooth
  8. thin
  9. paste
  10. of 1 cup milk and flour.
  11. Add to hot mixture and
  12. cook,ttirring, until thick.ttir in remaining milk, cream, crab meat and clams.
  13. Serves 6.
