Wilton's Cream Cheese Icing

  1. Cream softened Butter and Cream Cheese til smooth.
  2. ADD: Sugar,milk,and Vanilla.
  3. Blend in, then beat on hi speed for 1 minute.
  4. "NOTE: Do Not Use Light cream cheese or Butter substitute.
  5. IF Margarine is used icing will be softer."
  6. This recipe states the yield as 2-3/4 cups.
  7. Personal note: I used a Cream Cheese Frosting recipe with the I BELIEVE to be the same ingredients on this site that had been adopted or listed as one's own.
  8. Because it was not specified to use Full Fat Cream Cheese....I used light cream cheese....this resulted in having to add more than double the amount of Powdered Sugar listed to get a proper icing consistency.
  9. I used no liquids except for the stated 1 tsp Vanilla.
  10. My climate is desert arrid...so moisture in the air was not the issue.
  11. I thought my icing was terrible.
  12. I have listed this recipe off the box, almost verbatim.
  13. I take no credit for this recipe.
