Green And Gold Rice Bake Recipe
- 1 c. instant rice
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. shredded Old English cheese
- Dash pepper
- Dash dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pkg. frzn minced broccoli, thawed, liquid removed
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In saucepan, combine rice, lowfat milk, and salt.
- Mix till all rice is moistened.
- Bring quickly to a boil over high heat, uncovered, fluffing gently once or possibly twice with a fork; don't stir.
- Simmer gently, covered, 3 min.
- Add in cheese, pepper, mustard, Worcestershire, and broccoli blend.
- Turn into greased 1 1/2 qt casserole.
- Bake, uncovered, 30 min, or possibly till top is slightly browned.
- Makes 4 servings.
- NOTES: This is pretty baked in a ring mold.
- Nutrition: 430 calories.
