Country-Style Barbecued Ribs

  1. Cook ribs, covered, in enough boiling salted water to cover, for 45 - 60 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain.
  3. Cook onion and garlic in hot oil till tender.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and the next 8 ingredients.
  5. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes.
  6. Stir once or twice. Grill ribs over slow coals about 45 minutes or until done.
  7. Turn every 15 minutes.
  8. Brush with sauce till coated.
  9. Serves 6.
