Cheese Puff On Creamed Chicken
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
- 2 c. cut-up cooked chicken or turkey
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded cheese (about 4 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
- 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. milk
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Rinse frozen peas under running cold water to separate; drain.
- Place peas and chicken in 2-quart casserole or 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Heat soup, sour cream, salt and pepper just to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon parsley and 1 tablespoon pimiento.
- Stir 1 1/2 cups of soup mixture into peas and chicken.
- Place in oven while preparing topping.
