Sour Cream Apple Pie
- 5-7 each apples cooking
- 23 cup sour cream
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 large eggs slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
- 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch, unbaked
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons sugar granulated
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups walnuts chopped
- Peel, core andamp; thinly slice apples.
- Drop slices into mixing bowl.
- In small bowl, mix sour cream, sugar, egg, salt, vanilla and flour.
- Toss with apples to coat.
- Spoon apple mixture into pie crust.
- Prepare topping.
- Sprinkle evenly over apple filling.
- Set pie on middle rack of preheated 350^ oven and bake 55 to 65 minutes, or until apples are tender.
